The site of the old Fairswell Manor is further down Boughton Road possibly nearer the site of the present day Moat House. An archaeological dig was conducted on the site by the Norfolk Archaeological Unit (Report No. 1125) in 2006 to reveal a number of Iron Age and Roman finds.
Now with several houses built in its grounds -near the Boughton crossroads
