“March 16th, these three infants, baptised on the same day, and all under six months old, are the son, the grandson, and great grandson, of one man, and the great grandson is the oldest of the three.’
Joseph Addison was the ‘man’ and in 1856 he was 72 years old. His wife, Susan, was 46 years old. She was his second wife and only the mother of the son who was baptised. What Rev Blyth does not say is that a two year old son of Joseph and Susan was also baptised at the same March 16th ceremony!
